Darkthrone brings back memories of wandering the grim, frost-covered forests of New Hampshire in the middle of the night, looking for churches to burn down or lost Christians to butcher in tribute to Our Dark Lord Satan. “Ravishing Grimness” is from the album of the same name, released in 1999. Truly necro.

Prometheus Burning - Significantly Altered (6:25) [Industrial]
I don’t listen to industrial much anymore, but one song I still having on my hard drive is Prometheus Burning’s “Significantly Altered” from their 2006 album Beyond Repair. It’s loud, noisy and feels like someone jackhammering your skull. This isn’t VNV Nation “industrial.”

Here’s some deliciously heavy doom, courtesy of Southern Lord Records’ mp3 page. Formed by Stephen O’Malley, Greg Anderson and Jamie Sykes in 1995, this is a precursor to well known doom/drone bands such as KHANATE (O’Malley) and Sunn O))) (O’Malley/Anderson).

This is a remix of Body Movin’ from her 2000 album, In the Mix, Vol. 2. DJ Baby Anne is a Florida DJ known for her breaks and bass music. I haven’t listened to her in a while, actually. But something lit a fire under my ass to listen to her again and I’m glad I did.
